Five sweat-proof foundations

By  |  0 Comments

OILY skin is my ultimate bugbear.
There’s nothing more irritating than constant powder touch-ups to blot an oily t-zone after a few hours.

But when the mercury skyrockets it’s all too common for our skin to start looking like an oil-slick.
However, after many years of testing scores of foundations, I’ve found five that stand the test of time.
Check out my top five sweat-proof foundations to keep you looking immaculate throughout the heatwave.

FENTY BEAUTY Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation, £26

THIS full coverage foundation is budge-proof and makes skin appear flawless.
A soft matte, longwear foundation with buildable, medium to full coverage, this is my go to for every day.
Available in a boundary-breaking range of 40 shades, this skin-perfecting base is perfect for a mattified look with a hint of radiance.
This blends like a dream and won’t sit in fine lines.
Skin looks impeccable, shine-free and photo-ready after each application.
At the end of the working day my skin still looks makeup-ready without a million touch-ups.

MAC Studio Fix Foundation, £24.50

AN oldie but a goodie, Studio Fix is still one of my all time favourites when it comes to long-lasting foundation.
This is made from an oil-controlling formula that offers a natural matte finish with medium to full coverage.
It even passed the humidity test through 30F heat in Spain, proving why it’s still so successful.
One that I always go back to no matter how many other new foundations I’ve tried.

Diorskin Forever Undercover Foundation, £34

DUBBED Dior’s most extreme-wear foundation yet, this will get you through a sweaty gig and beyond.
I wore this 24-hour full coverage foundation through five days of festival season and it did not disappoint.
But despite being described as a full-coverage product, it still looks natural and doesn’t feel heavu or caked on.
The high concentration of pigments ensures perfect blemish correction and can even cover tattoos!
This is great for those who want to cover acne scarring or extreme redness.

Maybelline SuperStay 24 Hour Foundation, £9.99

THIS affordable foundation is just as good as its designer rivals.
I use it with my beauty blender to even out my skintone and eradicate flaws.
The micro-flex formula provides up to 24-hours wear and is transfer resistant – meaning it withstands heat and sweat.

Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup, £28.47

Estée Lauder’s Double Wear retains its beautiful velvety-matte finish come rain or shine.
This is proven to last all day and comes in an impressive 31 shades to suit a whole spectrum of skin tones.
It feels comfortable on the skin but will still last through a sweaty night on the tiles.
