Your ultimate skincare regime

THE first step to great skin is ensuring you remove all traces of makeup before bed.
Although it’s tempting to be lazy when it comes to cleansing, there are plenty of products out there to make the task easier.
I always use the double cleanse method after firstly using Nivea Double Effect Eye Makeup remover, £3.49 to get rid of my waterproof mascara.

Next, I will use a deep cleansing balm or oil like antioxidant skincare brand Vitage’s Essential Cleansing Balm, £36, ideal for winter skin.
This contains marula oil and Omega 6 & 9 that help to boost cellular activity and hydrate the skin whilst acting like a magnet to draw out impurities.
The indulgent balm feels slightly gritty so it also works as a gentle exfoliator when massaged into the face.

Focus on massaging into the skin for around 30 seconds to boost radiance and melt makeup before polishing off with eithera face cloth such as Tropic Skincare Bamboo Face Cloth, £5. Although it might seem unlikely you’ll have any traces of makeup left, I like to make sure my skin is super clean so I’ll use a deep cleansing brush with a foaming cleanser.
Magnitone have recently launched their new Barefaced 2 Cleansing and Toning brush, which is a nifty tool that not only removes makeup but massages and tones the skin also.

Follow up with a soothing toner such as Sanctuary Spa Daily Glow Tonic, £10, which helps brighten the skin and reduce redness.
This highly effective re-texturising toner contai8ns 5% glycolic acid, brightening vitamin B3 and skin conditioning witch hazel to tackle pesky blemishes before bed.
A few times a week I’ll use YourGoodSkin Pore Minimizing Tonic, £3.99 if I have problems with pores.

To hydrate skin deeply, massage in a facial oil such as Angela Langford’s Bloom and Glow.
This glorious oil is an award-winning hero product which transforms dull and dehydrated winter skin in seconds.
Just a few drops of this vegan, cruelty free facial oil leaves the skin looking peachy, fresh and miles more radiant.

Twice a week I use a gentle exfoliating lotion such as Jane Scrivner Skinfoliate, £26.
This contains a 100% natural and organic blend of AHA & BHA acids, formulated to penetrate every level of skin to get rid of dead cells and brighten lacklustre complexions.

Combining a natural blend of phyto origin malic, lactic, salicylic, citric, tartaric and glycolic acids taken from pineapple, burdock, bilberry, orange, lemon, sugar maple, witch-hazel and white willow, it’s also great for blemish prone skin types.
Perfect for those who suffer from pesky blackheads and whiteheads.

Glide this on with the Magnitone brush for 1 minute using the built-in zonal timer and my skin looks like I’ve just come back from the spa.
I normally prefer using an oil during the winter months and always follow with an anti-ageing moisturiser.
Right now I’m loving the results from Perricone MD’s Essential FX Rejuvenating Moisturiser, £79, which I can honestly say has left my skin looking brighter and more youthful than ever.

This luxury cream helps to reduce the look of deep creases and improve fragile skin by protecting, repairing and detoxifying the skin.
It contains a potent formula which smooths fine lines and wrinkles ability by restoring the skin’s moisture barrier and suppleness.
Although it’s pricey, this can be used both in the morning and evening so you won’t need to double up on a day and night cream.

I’ve had tons of compliments on how youthful my skin’s been looking since using this and the fine lines that were starting to form around my mouth have almost disappeared.
To finish off my night time regime, I apply a grain of Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye, £25.50 on the bones just below my eyes.

This eradicates crepiness and decreases the look of puffiness with just the teeniest amount.
I love how this tube lasts for almost a year because a little goes a long way.

Twice a week I’ll use a face mask, ordinarily one sheet mask to hydrate and a brightening mask to banish dull skin.
I’m obsessed with Malin and Goetz brightening enzyme mask, a multitasking 2-in-1 exfoliating gel mask which can be applied for 10 -15 mins before bed.

This gel like formula uses a gentle and effective combination of natural fruit enzymes and botanically derived AHAs to dissolve dead skin cells, improve clarity and even tone.
Although it tingles slightly, it helps you wake up to glowing, baby soft skin and pores are visibly reduced.
I love how pampered this makes you feel when you apply before bed.
