GONE are the days when caviar was associated with only the rich and famous.
As now the posh ingredient, also known as fish eggs, is being recognised for being a highly-effective in skincare.
Popularised by Hollywood’s elite, including Angelina Jolie, caviar face masks have been proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines and improve skin elasticity and skin moisture content.
I recently tried out a similar product, named Smask by Skin Shop, which has been developed using this new film mask technology.
Unlike traditional facemasks, film masks are actual silicone masks infused with skin hydrating and rejuvenating ingredients that slowly dissolve into the skin.
And, although I looked a bit like a strange blue alien when wearing this one, I could feel the ingredients in the mask penetrate deeply into every crevice, giving a salon-standard result.
