How to be a natural beauty
THIS year’s runway vibe was all about achieving natural beauty with subtle makeup.
Flawless, dewy skin and subtle sculpting were very much in the spotlight at the Victoria Secret show.
To achieve this look, it’s important to invest some time and effort to your skincare regime to keep it looking in tip-top shape before you’ve applied any makeup.
Here are my picks of some of the best products to help you along the way.
Balance Me Stellar Beauty Balm, £18
To cheat your way to supermodel cheekbones, it’s all about creating radiance.
But highlighting creams can often seem to obvious so for a more natural effect I’d suggest use a dab of gloss instead.
This hero one-pot wonder from Balance Me is the perfect handbag product for natural beauties out there.
Not only can you use this as a lip balm, cold sore remedy, moisturiser or hydrating facial mask, a touch of this on dabbed on cheekbones also creates a gorgeous, dewy affect that looks natural in daylight.
This contains organic shea, cocoa and mango butters to hydrate and protect the skin without looking greasy.
Although it may seem pricey, a little goes a long way and this 30ml pot will last forever.
Use this for long-haul flights and your skin will love you for it.
Balance Me Radiance Facial Oil, £30
If there’s any item to invest in for skincare this year, it’s a must-have facial oil.
To get ultra glowy skin the night before an event, I massage a few drops of this onto my skin and follow with an intensive moisturiser.
Containing 100 per cent natural ingredients, this product is perfect for injecting some life into dull, lacklustre skin.
And if you suffer from any redness, acne scars or uneven skin tone, this will also smooth the surface and reduce the appearance of imperfections within a matter of days.
Aromatherapy Associates Hydrating Rose Face Mask, £37
I can’t rave enough about Aromatherapy Associates products, and this one is no different.
Strangely, this face mask is more like a gel when applied but has a lovely cooling effect and feels gentle on the skin.
This deeply hydrating mask can be used restore vital moisture to dry skin. Aloe vera and Sodium Hyalauronate, renowned for their hydrating properties, are combined with damask rose water, distilled from Bulgarian roses, in a cooling, transparent mask to bring radiance and vitality to dry complexions.
Use this after exfoliating and wash off after ten minutes to reveal baby soft, flawless looking skin.
Resultime by Collin Paris Anti-Ageing Fluid, £35
Loved by celebrities such as Michelle Keegan and Youtube phenomenon PixiWoo, this purifying makeup base will change your regime for good.
Skin types which are prone to blemishes or show signs of acne scars can breathe a sigh of relief as this product will leave it beautifully matte and smooth for a perfect make-up primer.
As well as minimising shine and significantly reducing the appearance of blackheads or large pores, this also fights against ageing and is proven to refine the skin texture by up to 80 per cent.
Specifically for use to those aged 35 and over, it helps to smooth lines and wrinkles, increasing the synthesis of Collagen and Hyaluronic Acid for a plumper, tighter face.
Use this under your foundation or alone for flawless, natural and younger looking skin. A must-have for your beauty kit.
