The bumbag is back! Festival season’s hottest new accessory

WHEN I first found out bumbags were back in fashion, I instantly scoffed, thinking the fad would quickly disappear.
But fast-forward to 2018 and the high-streets and catwalks are abundant with newly-revamped versions the hip-hugging accessories.

From House of Holland’s oversized designs to Gucci’s elegant cross-body versions, it’s fair to say the fanny-pack is no longer lame.
It’s also become the essential festival accessory to be slung round your waist and add a cool edge to any outfit.

Spiral bags have long been a staple for the leading A-listers lucky enough to hit the shores of Coachella and Burning Man.
The likes of Rita Ora and Kendall Jenner have been rocking the trend during festival season.

It became my favourite accessory for this year’s TRNSMT festival in Glasgow.

Sporting Spiral’s hot pink Barbie bumbag.

As well as being practical, the Spiral bags were slung round the waist like a belt over a pretty dress or jumpsuit to add an instant pop of colour.

It looks like this Nineties Revival is here to stay so we’ve got out favourites from the Spiral collection below.

Spiral collections start from £9.99 for bum and crossbody bags, and from £29.99 for backpacks.

Adding a hint of metallic to a sparkly playsuit.
