Paris Fashion Week Roundup
WITH Paris Fashion Week officially wrapped, the glamorous catwalk shows have had everyone talking about evening wear.
Designers such as Louis Vuitton and Ole Yde have captivated us with their new 2016 collections, featuring stylised, whimsical and sophisticated wardrobe pieces with ultra-feminine and elegant silhouettes.
This season luxury Prêt-à-Porter brand, Ole Yde, presents a mix of vibrant and expressive colours, referring to exotic and unknown lands, new cultures, colours and fragrances.
Throughout the Copenhagen designer’s creations, he delights us with materials like silk chiffon, crepe and organza, leather, handmade embroideries and prints.
To recreate his look for night-time glamour, opt for brightly-coloured or silver gowns, embellished shift dresses and layers of leather combined.
High Street retailer Zara makes this look covetable with their a/w collection, containing key pieces such as a leather skater dress, tuxedo blazer and sheer blouses worn with shimmering maxi skirts.
Meanwhile, master innovator Louis Vuitton inspires High Street eveningwear looks with a futuristic vibe involving metallics, embellishment and Victoriana style sheer fabrics.
Nod to the trend by shining in an applique-coated mini dress or floaty metallic gown paired with a biker jacket to add a tough edge.
But there are also minimalistic must-haves to aspire to, such as simple, sequinned zip-backed evening gowns and fine-cut dresses spun with digital-age chainmail.
Standout shoes were also spotted on this year’s Parisian shows, with zig-zag heels, lace up booties and mesh detailing at the stop of the wish list.
Other options include psychedelic prints which decorated both curved-heel sandals and colourful hosiery for an original take on acessorising.
When it comes to handbags, the smaller the better with box shapes and feathered detailing topping off an evening look.
Gloves are also set to be in the spotlight after Louis Vuitton wrapped its show with leather strap knuckle gloves being spotted on models everywhere.
Cut a fine figure with evening wear that’s both glamorous and fun during the upcoming festive season.
