Salon Review: Alchemy Glasgow
Autumn is the perfect time to go for a darker hair colour, and ‘olive brown’ is all the rage for a/w 2019.
I recently paid a visit to award-winning salon Alchemy in Glasgow’s city centre and opted for a dramatic new ‘lob’ hairstyle. The lob cut, short for “long bob”, is a popular haircut that normally finishes above your collarbone.
However, I didn’t want to go quite as short so I went for a medium-length, blunt cut ‘lob’ in a bid to improve the condition of my hair after using too many heated styling products and failing to do regular treatments.
My talented stylist Morgan Lamont convinced me to go a deeper shade of olive brown and I had around three or four inches cut off my ends.
It’s the shortest my mane has been in quite some time but I loved the blunt cut which gave my tresses an added ‘edge’ and the vibrant Davines colour was almost as shiny as Claudia Winkleman’s sleek doo. I couldn’t stop staring at it in the mirror.
I love the salon’s completely cruelty-free and eco-friendly ethos, and dogs are also welcome to pop in while their owners get pampered!
They are the flagship Davines salon for Glasgow and it’s the perfect one-stop shop for clean-living clients who want to treat themselves to a makeover completely guilt-free.
There’s also a super relaxed vibe as clients can help themselves to tea, coffee, beer or wine while they’re looked after by the friendly and attentive staff.
With Davines and Alchemy you know both you and the environment are in safe trusted hands and the creative team there are truly a cut above the rest.
