Five hot autumn looks for 2018

Animal Print

This leopard luxe coat stole the show at Victoria Beckham.

WAVE goodbye to any tacky preconceptions you ever had about animal print – it was huge in summer and it’s set to be even bigger this autumn.
Think animal print trench coats, zebra stripe wrap dresses and loud looking trousers.
Pare down the look by teaming with neutrals or ramp it up in colourful leopard print co-ords.
This season anything goes when it comes to animal print.

High Shine fabrics

Shining bright at Fendi.

THE trend for glossy metallics is set to slide through to the next season.
High shine fabrics were key on the catwalks this season, whether it’s brocade, latex, plastic or leather.
Go vampy in a shiny trench coat and pair with cosy tweeds and other clashing textures.
Think slinky coats with statement colours belted at the waist and worn with shiny, statement boots.

Leather dress

Rocking green and black leather at McQueen.

IT may not be the most comfortable of fabrics – but a leather dress is still sexy as hell.
Unleash your inner dominatrix in a leather off the shoulder dress or a structured shirt dress for a power meeting with the boss.
This look is decidedly grown up and is one to be taken seriously.

Tweed

Heritage chic at Matty Bovan.

EMBRACE the heritage chic look by incorporating tweed separates next season.
Take note from the likes of Louis Vuitton and Miu Miu, who sent models storming down the runway in tweed cocoon coats, ruffled pencil skirts and tweed blazer jackets.
Zara has some great remakes of the catwalk looks right now.

Silver

Sci fi looks at Alberta Ferreti.

FUTURE-PROOF your autumn wardrobe in a shimmering silver dress.
Adding a streak of sci-fi will give you extra points when it comes to the style code.
Go glamorous in a slinky silver maxi dress or spacey oversized jacket to rework the look.
