Is Lipofirm Pro – dubbed the ‘Love Island butt lift’ – the key to tackling cellulite? Read our review here. 🍑
It’s the bane of every woman’s existence – those unsightly lumpy bits which inevitably form unless we lead the lifestyle of Gwyneth Paltrow, known as cellulite.
And whether you’re a petite babe or boasting glorious curves, cellulite affects almost everyone at some point in their lives.
In my bid to tackle the cellulite which has slowly and insidiously crept on my upper thighs in recent years, I’ve tried body brushing, toning creams, the most gruelling of workouts and weight loss programmes, to no avail.
So when I heard about the concept of Lipofirm, a non-surgical procedure which promises to banish those troublesome lumps and bumps, I decided there was nothing to lose.
What is Lipofirm Pro?
Lipofirm – which in the past has been dubbed the ‘Love Island butt lift’ – is a celebrity-loved treatment which helps to dissolve fat cells, tighten the skin and sculpt targeted body parts.
Former page three model and star Katie Price has previously boasted about the results of her treatment.
Lipofirm Pro is the name for a treatment called TriLipo, described as the most advanced solution for non-invasive body sculpting and skin tightening.
It works via a machine which emit a radio frequency heat which causes collagen fibres to contract and tighten the skin – a bit like when you’re doing a strenuous workout.
Electrical pulses will heat and stimulate the skin, helping to get rid of and reduce fat cells.
In parallel, the heat from the machine triggers fibroblast cells which produce new collagen, which we know provides the skin with renewed firmness and flexibility.
Not only can this be used to treat cellulite, it also works wonders on sagging skin, wrinkles, stretch marks, and flabby parts of the body.
Sharon Cameron, an advanced practitioner based in Glasgow city centre, says it’s one of her most popular treatments, raved about by both men and women.
“We have a variety of different clients who love the Lipofirm treatment,” Sharon said. “The most requested areas of the body they ask me to perform on them is normally the stomach, back of the thighs, bum and arms.
“Nowadays people don’t want to go down the invasive surgical road and there’s no need with treatments such as Lipofirm, which when carried out over a course has amazing results.
“It gives people the confidence that they may not have had before to wear shorts or a skirt or to step out on the beach in their bikini or swimsuit.
“My patients love the results and will often come back to book in for treatments on another area of the body once they’ve had it done once.
“People can see results after even the first treatment but a course is recommended for best results.”
Areas which can be treated include the face, neck, tummy, back, waist, thighs, arms and even hands.
I opted two treatments on the back of my upper thighs, an area where most women are prone to cellulite.
As I’m about to embark on my first LipoFirm experience, Sharon, who offers a course of eight treatments for one area for £650, assures me that the machine isn’t painful but it can feel uncomfortable.
After covering my legs with a cold gel, Sharon places the device firmly on the backs of my thighs and I can feel it heating up and sort of releasing a series of pinging like motions, as though rubber bands are being lightly snapped on my legs.
Sharon is correct in the fact that it’s not painful but feels rather odd at first. I wince and my muscles spasm ever so slightly for the first few minutes but after that, the motion feels strangely satisfying as I begin visualising the cellulite being burned away through each movement.
Each session takes half an hour to complete and the skin feels unfathomably smooth afterwards. When I arrive home, I can’t stop peering in the mirror as miraculously, my cellulite already appears much smoother, less visible and my thighs far more taut.
The following day it feels like the tops of my thighs have been put through a challenging workout, however there’s no bruising or redness in sight.
“Obviously if you get the treatments done, there’s no point going and eating loads of McDonalds after it and expecting it to work,” Sharon advises. “The best results come from when the client also eats healthily and exercises regularly.
“It’s really good for people who follow a healthy lifestyle but might struggle to get rid of cellulite or sagging skin.”
Following my second session a week later, I definitely feel more confident in my skin when it comes to wearing shorts and mini-skirts and the remainder of my cellulite only appears visible in the harshest of lights.
Even though I’ve only tried the treatment on my thighs, my butt also seems to appear lifted, as though I’ve been doing thousands of squats each day.
If you’ve tried everything and still can’t shift those pesky lumpy bits, this treatment is highly recommended. Call 07941 025 840 to book or email sharoncameronbeauty@gmail.com. A course of six is £500 or £100 for one session.
