The cosmetic tweakments you can expect to see in 2023, as predicted by experts

The one thing cosmetic tweakments have in common is their ability to unlock a little extra self-confidence boost – all non-surgically and with little or no downtime.
Popular with celebs such as Eva Longoria, Kim Kardashian and many more, face and body self improvements are having a moment – one that’s anticipated to continue to blossom into 2023.
Whether it’s lip hydrating injections, Morpheus 8, or vagina tightening treatments, we reveal the hottest cosmetic treatments set to dominate 2023 as predicted by experts.

Morpheus8

The Morpheus8 face treatment has been trending consistently, given its popularity with A-listers and social media stars over the past few years.
Some of the most famous results were seen by tennis star Andy Murray’s mum, Judy Murray, a few years back, resulting in an outstanding transformation.
Dr. Usman Qureshi is a leading cosmetic physician, aesthetic doctor and founder of the Luxe Skin Clinic in Glasgow, Scotland, offering Morpheus8 to clients.
He said: “This is a micro needling radio frequency treatment. First of all you numb the face and neck and use a machine to penetrate the needles in different depths to deliver radiofrequency into the skin at different layers. It works as a type of skin tightening treatment that improves fine lines, resurfaces the skin and improves jowls, as well as skin texture and lines on the neck.” Normally you’d need around three treatments to see the best results.

The Morpheus8 microneedles can go deeper than any RF microneedling device on the market to date. It has been FDA approved as a treatment to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin tone and texture, and tighten areas of skin laxity on the face.
Dr Qureshi continued: “It’s not a face lift as such but if you have slight drooping it can really help to lift and tighten this. The thing which ages people most after time is losing fat in different parts of the face, which can cause parts of the face to fall down and cause jowling. So lifting the skin back up is the ideal tweakment to make you look like you did five or 10 years ago. Fillers help to contour the face but Morpheus8 is fantastic for tightening. The procedure takes around an hour and it may look a bit red and swollen for a few days after the treatment, but the results are tremendous.”
Morpheus8 Body is now also surging in popularity, due to celebs such as Eva Longoria and Kim Kardashian speaking about their love for this non-surgical, skin tightening procedure.
Kim Kardashian has taken to Instagram on multiple occasions share her Morpheus8 Body experience with her followers. She chose to have a course of these treatments on her stomach to tighten and rejuvenate the skin after giving birth to two children, and calls it a ‘game-changer.’

 Injectable lip moisturisers

In 2023, there have been moves away from the trout pout and strides towards super hydrated and shapely lips.
Dr Sheila is an award-winning skincare expert and cosmetic injector who specialises in facial rejuvenation.
Speaking of the move away from plumping lip filler, she said: “My patients want their lips – only more hydrated and defined. Using a super soft filler like Maili Precise, not only can I create sharp definition and beautiful shape to the lip (without the volume) but also hydrate the lips owing to the hyaluronic acid which is the body’s natural moisturiser.
“The result is beautifully defined, smooth and hydrated lips, without unnecessary volume.”

EvolveX by In Mode

Have you heard about EvolveX by InMode yet? If the answer’s no, then this cutting-edge treatment is one you definitely need on your radar.
The most advanced body contouring technology on the market (and InMode’s most innovative handpiece technology to date) EvolveX promises to revolutionise the UK’s body sculpting landscape.
It’s pain-free, hands-free, needle-free, extremely safe and a triple pronged threat to undefined silhouettes; with the ability to improve muscle, reduce fat and tighten skin.
After giving birth to her beautiful baby boy, Hollywood star Eva Longoria discovered InMode’s treatments in her quest to achieve natural, sculpted results post-childbirth.
She said: “To me, taking care of my body and overall wellness is something I take pretty seriously. It helps me feel the most confident in all aspects of my life. InMode has excellent body treatments that not only have helped maximise results but have also inspired a new wave of confidence in me and in many.”

 Skinboosters and PDO threads

Skinboosters like Profhilo or Sunekos (which can be used to treat the eyes) can stimulate collagen, enhance the skin, and smooth fine lines.
This is a hyaluronic acid injectable (think injectable moisturiser) that will deeply hydrate and rejuvenate the skin.
Ideal for those in their 20s and 30s, the results are juicy, dewy and glowing complexions.
Generally speaking, Profhilo is a very safe treatment with few risks hence the appeal.
Vogue Williams has spoken about her Profhilo glow up, as has actress and singer Martine McCutcheon.
Meanwhile, PDO threads are also soaring in popularity as they can be used to rejuvenate and lift sagging – including the breasts.
Natalie O’Brien, an aesthetics expert based in Glasgow, explained: “PDO threads will give you a more youthful appearance without the use of fillers. This helps to keep a natural look, whereas when using fillers this can change the shape of your face.
“People are leaning towards a more natural look now, as nobody wants to look massively overfilled.
“PDOs – which last one to two years – can also be used to tighten up the eye for the fox-eye look, to tighten up the neck, and also can be used on areas the body such the breasts or loose skin on the tummy.”

Oxygen Chamber Treatments

Dawn Attewell, founder of Dawn Attewell Aesthetics at Therapy House, has just introduced a cutting-edge Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber to her treatment menu as a result of this; recognising that for as long as aesthetic tweakments such as Botox and lip fillers remain popular, botched results and complications will prevail.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers help skin damaged by a loss of blood flow to heal faster; preventing further skin death when complications such as vascular occlusion have occurred.
This new technology also has benefits in terms of health and wellbeing.
“Our new Hyperbaric Chamber promotes health and wellbeing from within and works wonders in terms of anti-ageing; as well as supporting patients recovering from complications,” Dawn Attewell explained.
