Winter warmers for 2015

The leaves are turning and there’s a nip in the air — that means one thing, time for some new outfits.
And what better way to celebrate the cold snap coming in than by investing in some comforting coats and footwear.
This season is all about modern looks with clean, tailored lines and unprecedented bursts of colour.
As seen on the A/W 15 runway shows at Christopher Kane and Jonathan Saunders, knitwear gets a makeover with strips of orange, blue and even more shades than seen on Joseph and the Amazing Technicoloured Dreamcoat.
Exhibiting an eccentric aesthetic, this season is the perfect time to experiment with stripes, wacky knitwear and psychedelic patterns.
A little bit folk and a lot bohemian — the 70s are also here to stay with pinafore dresses, quirky patterned flares and patchwork pieces making a statement.
When it comes to choosing fabrics, look no further than super-soft textures such as velvet, felt and this season’s must-have — suede.
Pieces your wardrobe can’t be seen without include the wrap cape, a button-down skirt and a luxurious velvet dress.
Accessories are covetable, cute and often oversized, with slouchy tote bags, trilby hats and aztec-print scarves at the top of the wishlist.
When it comes to footwear, biker boots and PVC styles are a big hit on the High Street and still look great with both casual looks and evening wear.
This month also sees the launch of cult footwear brand Rogues’ desert boot. These are designed to be an updated and more elegant version of the classic rubber-soled desert boot, with a signature neon twist to spice things up.
Each boot is made of suede, with a neolite sole, buttery-soft lining and silk effect laces and has an eye-catching neon lightening bolt down the heel.
The boots will each come with a pair of plain as well as neon laces, depending on how you want to style your look.
