Smile Direct Club launches first store in Glasgow city centre
Teledentistry pioneer, SmileDirectClub, is helping to support the local economy and the government’s Glasgow is Open campaign, by launching its first SmileShop in Glasgow’s Buchanan Street.
SmileDirectClub will be offering affordable teeth aligner therapy to help residents create a smile they love, following research which shows 38 per cent of Glaswegians revealing they are most self conscious about their teeth and 24 per cent about their smile.
The company, which claims it can straighten teeth for a fraction of the price of other invisible braces, offers a unique customer experience in their SmileShops where appointments are free and include a 3D image of customers teeth with its innovative technology – and, if eligible, consumers receive premium teeth whitening.
As part of the launch, a study revealed that 41 per cent of people in the city avoid smiling because they don’t like their teeth; 22 per cent have covered their mouth when talking; and 63 per cent smile with their mouth closed.
With that in mind, SmileDirectClub has launched a new SmilePlan that can be paid over a 24 months period at just £69 monthly, or £1,499 for the treatment that takes on average six months to complete.
David Cran, Vice President of SmileDirectClub, UK and Ireland, commented: “We are thrilled to launch our first SmileShop storefront in perfect time as the government launches its Glasgow is Open campaign.
“With a mission to help more people realise the life-changing potential of their smiles, SmileDirectClub will continue to increase access to affordable and convenient clear aligner therapy through our SmileShops and also our impression kits.”
